  Our favorite Mexican in Des Moines. Dishes are great. Service is friendly. And the tequila just flows - certified best margaritas in town.

  The first time we came here we were pleased, but it's gone down hill since. If you want soggy tacos & chalupas, shrimp that hasn't been cleaned, and rude service, then this is the spot for you. The last three times we have gone, we have been so so disappointed. Probably won't be back again.

  We knew this would be a delicious place when we recognized the host as a longtime (former) employee of our regular Mexican restaurant. The food came to us quickly, was delicious and the price was right on. The margaritas were fantastic too! Eat here!

  I would say the food is very comparable to your standard American Mexican food experience. However, the free chips make this place awesome! The chips were warm, the salsa and dynamic flavor and your first cup of queso is free! Chips and salsa are on the house, and a nominal fee is required for more queso. If I lived in the NW corner, this would definitely be my go to Mexican place!

  This is a new spot in Grimes. The food was ok. The rice was crispy from either being over cooked or sitting too long under heat. The chicken burrito meat was very tough and the meat was a challenge to chew on.
  
  However, the food came with queso and they were able to fry some jalapenos for me upon request.
  
  The woman at the hostess counter did not understand English, but was able to find someone who did so he could take my to go order. I may need to sharpen up on my Spanish if I drop by again.
  
  The nice thing about this place is that there is something new and different to try in Grimes!
